CP Lawal Reaffirms Commitment To Inter-Agency Collaboration To Strengthen Internal Security, Host Ondo Comptroller of Immigration, Ogbemudia

The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, CP Adebowale Lawal has restates his commitment to a robust Inter-agency synergy as he host the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Ondo State Command, Comptroller E.U. Ogbemudia at the Command’s headquarters in Akute.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh stated that, “The Ondo State Police Command under the leadership of CP Adebowale Lawal Psc(+), mnips has reaffirmed its commitment to robust inter-agency collaboration following a courtesy visit by the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Ondo State Command, Comptroller E.U. Ogbemudia, PCC.”

According to the statement, “During the visit, Comptroller Ogbemudia emphasized the need for deeper synergy and sustained cooperation between the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Police Force in order to effectively address internal security challenges within the State. He called for enhanced intelligence sharing, timely exchange of tip-offs, and coordinated operational efforts aimed at eradicating illegal immigration and combating human trafficking across Ondo State.”
“The Comptroller further noted the historical bond between both agencies, recalling that the Nigeria Immigration Service was carved out of the Nigeria Police Force, a relationship which, according to him, underscores the need for cooperation rather than rivalry. He stressed that both agencies must continue to operate as partners in progress with a shared mandate of safeguarding national security and public safety.”
“In his remarks, CP Adebowale Lawal Psc(+), mnips warmly welcomed the Comptroller and his entourage, describing the visit as timely and significant. The Commissioner recalled his professional interactions and experiences with officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service throughout his career, which he described as productive and mutually beneficial.”
Meanwhile, “CP Lawal assured the NIS of the Ondo State Police Command’s unwavering readiness to partner and collaborate in maintaining effective inter-agency relations. He pledged the Command’s full support in areas such as intelligence sharing, joint operations, and the treatment of lost and stolen travel documents, among other areas of mutual concerns.”
“He further reiterated that the Ondo State Police Command remains committed to fostering cooperation with sister security agencies including non-conventional security agencies as it is a critical strategy for preventing crime and ensuring the safety of residents of the State.”
“The courtesy visit was concluded with group photographs and a renewed resolve by both agencies to sustain cordial relations currently being enjoyed in the collective interest of the people of Ondo state.”
