CP FCT AJAO HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING WITH AREA COMMANDERS, DPOs, AND TACTICAL COMMANDERS • warns against extortion and misconduct

 

 

The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, psc, mnips, on Thursday, 25th September 2025, held a strategic meeting with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders at the Command Headquarters to review recent operations, evaluate performance, and set new security priorities for the Federal Capital Territory.

 

CP Adewale highlighted significant operational achievements in the month under review, including the arrest of 523 suspects during raids and for various offense, impoundment of 126 vehicles , rescue of 3 kidnapped victims, neutralization of 4 kidnappers in separate encounters, recovery of 6 rifles, 48 rounds of ammunition, and thirteen stolen vehicles. He commended the Anti-Kidnapping Unit for foiling various kidnapping attempt in Gwagwalada and Karu Area Council, a proactive action that averted a potential security crisis.

 

He further emphasized the importance of community policing, noting ongoing engagements with religious leaders, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Miyetti Allah, and other stakeholders. The CP equally Commended the Scorpion Squad, RRS, and divisional teams in Kubwa, Life Camp, Galadimawa, Mpape, Nyanya, Durumi, CP MMU-1, and Anti-One-Chance Team ‘B’.

 

With the ember months, political activities, and Independence Day celebrations approaching, the Commissioner of Police directed officers to intensify intelligence-led operations, enhance community relations, and remain firm, fair, and professional. He cautioned against unauthorized roadblocks, extortion during enforcements of any kind, and other misconducts. Officers were also reminded to remain vigilant, avoid intoxicants.
