The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Sylvester Abiodun Alabi has warned officers and men of the command against engaging in unprofessional conduct that might smear his hard-earned reputation.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu stated that, “The newly deployed Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Abiodun Alabi, has again warned officers and men of the Command against smearing his hard-earned reputation by their unprofessional conducts.”
According to Ajisebutu, “The Commissioner of Police gave the latest warning while addressing Heads of Departments and Sectional Heads in the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja recently.”
“Concerned about rights of citizens, the CP further warned Heads of Investigation Sections against over detention of suspects in their custody, and that they must dispense with criminal cases speedily.”
Similarly, he warned administrative office personnel and others to always manage information effectively and be guided by the oath of secrecy when handling official correspondence and other matters.
In what seemed a piece of fatherly advice, CP Alabi admonished the personnel not to work at cross purposes but to ensure inter-departmental and inter-sectional harmony.
