Lagos State Commissioner of police, CP Abiodun Sylvester Alabi, yesterday, deployed additional undercover operatives to all entry and exit points. This is to check the activities of suspected hoodlums who may want to infiltrate the state.

At the police headquarters Ikeja, the officer in charge of the CP Crack Squad, CSP Igbinazaka Ugowe was seen mobilizing his men for Alabi’s order.

”We aren’t sitting on our oars, neither do we want to be taken unaware since our CP is desirous in nipping in the bud hoodlums either operating in the state or those from other states who are making moves to invade the Center of Ecellence” said a senior officer.

However, another senior officer who pleaded annoymity debunked, as reported in a news media that there is a partial lock down in the state.

”This is not correct. What we have is partial lock down in entry and exit points; not unconnected with our command Management Team under the leadership of Alabi to ensure that lives and property are well secured”.

It will be recalled that a recent intelligence report had warned of the possibility of the state being attacked by terrorists. This has since placed the police and other sister’s agencies on red alert.

At the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba, the officer in charge, DCP Adegoke Fayoade (DCP) warned his operatives to keep vigil in most of the entry and exit points. Fayoade equally admonished them to be on alert for those suspected persons not only entry and exit points, but the environs.
