It’s a thing of joy to know that Tomorrow, Friday, 21 April, 2023, marks the end of 29 day fasting and fervent prayers by the Muslim Faithful, according to pronouncement by Saudi – Arabia. This year’s Eid -el – fitri celebration is a double blessing for the whole World, in the fact that Jumat prayer always holds Friday, and with Eid – el – fitri prayer coming up Tomorrow, there’s bound to be a double blessing, double promotion and double of everything that’s good in life will henceforth be our portion, by God’s grace.

It’s pious to be fasting and praying for a whole month, while listening to and obeying various Islamic guidelines. We therefore implore Muslims to remain committed to the teachings and lessons of Ramadan throughout their individual lives.

We must embrace peaceful co – existence anywhere we find ourselves and all hands must be on deck to ensure that our individual Communities are totally secure. It’s high time we said enough is enough to insecurity in this Country.

We pray for the incoming administration of the President – Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to be raised and fully empowered by divine wisdom throughout its tenure so that we, Nigerians, at the end of the day, would have cause to thank Almighty God, for giving us the right person, former Governor of Lagos State, as our President.

It’s no longer news that a section of the Oyo State owned Broadcast outfit, Broadcasting Cooperation of Oyo State (BCOS), Bashorun, Ibadan, was razed by fire for about 4 hours yesterday, Wednesday and disrupted transmission but we thank God Almighty that no life was lost. We therefore sympathise with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, all the founding fathers, BCOS Management as well as the entire Staff over this unfortunate incident. It’s our prayer that the whole structure looks more beautiful after renovation.

We rejoice with the following individuals on the occasion of their Birthdays: former Publicity Secretary, Afenifere Renewal Group (ARG) Kunle Famoriyo @ 70; Isaac Omodewu, Oyo State APC Chairman @ 60; and Senate – Elect, Oyo South Senatorial District, Sarafa Alli @ 60. We raise our voice in concert to say Many Happy Returns to you all.

We commend the leadership of Afenifere for geniunely pitching its tent with entire Nigeria in general and Yoruba Race in particular, during the February 25 Presidential Election. This exemplary action had since gone down in history of Southwest that Pan – Yoruba Socio Political Organisation, Afenifere, spoke with one voice in making one of their illustrious Sons, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023, unlike before, 1999, when the cabal outside decided for the entire Region. We will soon make it public the day that we are going to celebrate Comrade Jare Ajayi and Apagun Kole Omololu, the Publicity Secretary, Afenifere, and Organising Secretary, Afenifere, respectively, among other eminent Personalities in Nigeria, with beautiful Awards for jobs welldone under the true leadership of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the Leader of Afenifere.

Hon (Justice) Atinuke Omobonike Ige (Nee Oloko), Wife of the former Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige, SAN, turned 91 posthumously. May God continue to uphold her family, may her soul continue to rest in peace.

We commiserate with Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, as well as families, friends and Associates of late Prince Bola Ajibola over the death of this Colossus, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation. We must take solace in the fact that he left indellible foot prints in the sand of time. May his soul rest in peace.

Comrade Awa Bamiji
National Coordinator Coalition (of Pro – Democracy Groups) for A Better Nigeria, founded 2009 at Rockview Hotel, FESTAC Town, Lagos State, projecting Tinubu for President since 11 June 2019 till date.
