Chief of Air Staff, IGP, NSCDC Emerge Winners for the National Safety Awards 2020

The National Safety Awards organizers have commenced the announcement of the NSA 2020 edition winners, with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Sadique Abubakar emerging as Best Performing Security Service Chief.
The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu; Commandant General of NSCDC, Abdullahi Muhammadu and Director General, National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA)Prof. Aliyu Jauro, as Transformational Safety Police Chief, Most Active Security Chief and Strategic Safety Responsive Champion, respectively.

The National Coordinator of the Awards and President, Media Centre for Safety Reporting (MCSR), John Thompson made this known in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, October 5, 2020.

He stated that the “unique honours featuring the celebration of COVID-19 Safety Champions and Care Givers were articulated with careful consideration of over nine Cardinal criteria in fifteen categories”.

Thompson, further said that “more names in different categories are being meticulously scrutinized by the Screening Committee to be released before the end of the exercise on the 13th of October.

The National Coordinator also stated that “the COVID-19 Safety Compliant Awards presentation ceremony will take place on Monday 23rd November in Lagos at the Nigeria Airforce Officers’ Mess, located at Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island.

It’s important to note that Media Centre for Safety Reporting (MCSR) is Africa’s foremost certified Health, Safety, Security and Environment Reporting Organization duly registered in Nigeria.
