BVN-NIN: Mob Attacks MTN Office In Lagos Over Barred Lines
By Trek Africa Newspaper
An angry mob on Monday attacked an MTN Nigeria office located on 23 Road in Festac Town, Lagos over BVN-NIN linkage issues which left most of their MTN lines barred.
According to Mr. Genry Ajoh, a resident in Festac who spoke with kadecommunicationng exclusively, “Many became angry when they tronged the MTN Office to retrieve their lines and were told to wait for hours before it would be restored.
“On a Monday morning, which is the first day of the week, many could not wait due to pending transactions that were tied to their MTN lines.
“The crowd became agitated and attacked the MTN Office here in 23 Road, removing the burglaries.
“It took the timely intervention of men of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) to prevent the mob from gaining access to MTN staffs holed up inside their offices.”
Recall that many MTN lines were barred at the weekend due to a mismatch in their National Identification Number (NIN) and SIM registration.
