Breaking… Ambode Bows To Fashola, Calls Him ‘My Boss’ In Public

L-R: Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi AAmbode, Honourable Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and Sen. Kabiru Gaya during the Official Flag-Off of the Reconstruction of Apapa, Oshodi, Oworoshoki, Ojota Express Eat in Lagos State

It was a shocking moment this afternoon in Lagos for dignitaries and other invited guests when the Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode publicly acknowledged Mr Babatunde Fashola, SAN , the minister for Power Works and Housing as his boss and predecessor.

Ambode who lost out in the tussle for All Progressives Congress, APC Governorship ticket to Babajide Sanwo-Olu had never hidden his contempt for Fashola.

Immediately he assumed power in 2015, Trek Africa gathered that he was out to reverse the legacies of his predecessor and weed out Fashola’s loyalists out of the system.

Not a few ongoing projects of Fashola were abandoned while many of his legacy achievements were cancelled by Ambode.

The governor sent the Waste Managers packing and demolished statues of notable Nigerians built by Fashola and replaced with what the governor’s aides called ‘befitting’ ones.

Fashola was missing in action in Lagos until Governor Ambode’s second term bid hit the rock.

The governor is now a calm man. He sat gently today during the flag off ceremony for the reconstruction of Apapa-Oworonshoki-Ojota Expressway in Apapa, Lagos .

In his remarks, Ambode said” I want to thank my boss and predecessor, who is now the Honourable Minister for Power, Works And Housing for approving the flagoff of this important project”
“This is the first time in 40 years that the government at the centre will reconstruct Apapa-Oworonshoki-Ojota expressway”.
Those in attendance include Babatunde Raji Fashola, Governor Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Senator Remi Tinubu and Mrs Hadiza Bala Usman, NPA boss among other dignitaries.
