Tunde Braimoh who was the Guest Speaker, implored the general public to participate and become actively involved in politics stating that it would take collective efforts to ensure proper nation building. He addressed Christians who have the mindset of Politics being a dirty game played by villains, assessed their complaints and partly blamed them for any direction the country is heading saying “Usually People don’t know how to be aware or get involved in happenings around them, you hear talks like, as a Christian, you should avoid politics so as to avoid participating in immoralities but that won’t solve the problems in the country, whereas being Christians and solution providers, you must rise above primordial sentiments and try to proffer solutions”
He also pointed out the viral “INEC won’t count your prayer points” and referenced an Islamic prayer point which he claims emphasizes on not just moving hands in prayers but also moving legs to where destiny lies, hence we should all make efforts to building a great nation. He also quoted the scriptural “Out of your Sweat, you shall eat” context after Adam and Eve had been cast out of Eden, saying “You can see it’s even biblical that since the exit from the Garden of Eden, we have to strive to accomplish anything, in essence we must support our prayers with diligent actions”

Braimoh commended the host Pastor and the youths for choosing the topic and willing to lets others get enlightened on importance for Christians to be part of politics. The lagos lawmaker who talked on religion having a place in politics described voting as both an art and science that requires the general public to thrive and briefly discussed the evolution and forms of government practiced since pre-colonial Nigeria, before finally adding that God loves orderliness and appoints leaders hence every good Christian should be interested in politics. “We need people who will look past personal and party interests. It is common knowledge that majority may be wrong but they will have their way while the right minority will just have their say and not their way, no matter how right they can’t overrule the majority. We mustn’t allow ourselves be led by people with bad intentions. We must always remember that the Nigerian government is a mirror of the Nigerian society”.
Rounding up his lecture, the politician highlighted more about religious and political alliances including Prof. Yemi Osinbajo’s choice as running mate, being a positive influence. He later highlighted mega plans designed for Lagos state, including constant power supply in Lagos, new air conditioned buses and several other face changing projects which would be undertaken within 15 months by the state government. He gave a short tribute to the former Governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu “We are really lucky to have had a visionary leader like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who has made a success story out of Lagos. He is an exemplary leader, such is the case of Gov. Ambode who is transforming Lagos rapidly with full support by the state lawmakers” He added. He left the audience with a farewell message of “their future lies in their own hands”.
