ARK, OSIKOYA, OSHOFFA SLUG IT OUT FOR IKEJA CONSTITUENCY TICKET; ELECTIONS SET TO HOLD TOMORROW

The Ikeja constituency 2 ticket for All Progressives Congress (APC) will be determined tomorrow barring any other hitch, Trek Africa Newspaper can report. The election was postponed today after all the major contenders namely Hon. Abimbola Osikoya, Taiwo Oluwaseyi, Dolapo Oshoffa and Hon. Adedamola Kasunmu were already present at the Oluwaleimu Sports Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
The All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos Chapter, has postponed its State House of Assembly primaries across the state till tomorrow Friday May 27.
One of the delegates, Mr Toyin Bello at Ikeja constituency 2 said the reason for the postponement was unknown. Similarly, the INEC official on ground at Oluwaleimu Youths Sport Center, Ikeja,venue of the election for Ikeja Constituency 2, who was on ground to observe the process said they do not also know the reason for the postponement.
However, the Electoral Officers and electoral materials had not arrived at the venue as at 5.10 p.m.
Trek Africa Newspaper reports that there are five aspirants contending for the seat of Ikeja constituency 2 in the House of Assembly.
The aspirants are Hon Abimbola Osikoya, Mrs Dolapo Oshoffa and Hon. Ademola Richard Kasunmu the incumbent lawmaker of the constituency.

Trek Africa Newspaper can reports that the party planned to hold its governorship and house of assembly primaries on Thursday but could only conduct the governorship primary.
Meanwhile, the ruling party has also fixed its House of Representatives Primary for Friday while senatorial primary is slated for Saturday.
