APATIRA INSPECTS ON-GOING ROAD CONSTRUCTION OF OMILANI STREET

…Inspects Deplorable Section Of Agboola /Adewuyi Street For Immediate Reconstruction.
The Executive Chairman of Itire-Ikate LCDA, Hon. (Dr.) Ahmed Olanrewaju Apatira accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Oyebode; SLG, Hon. Kenny Baruwa; Supervisor for Information and Strategy, Hon. Dolamu Ahmed; Supervisor for Agric and Sports, Hon. Adegbuyi Adesanya; SAs & SSAs; Council Engineer embark on an Inspection Tour of on-Going road construction at Omilani Street.
The Chairman while at the site urged the contractor to ensure the standard used for the construction of drainage are maintained when the interlocking of paving stones begins.
Dr. Apatira also had a brief meeting with representatives of Aguntasholo street by Omilani on the lingering issue of where to place their Transformer which has to give way from its previous spot on Omilani Street due to the on-going reconstruction of that road.
Furthemore, the council boss assured residents present that the reinforcements done at all the major junctions in respect of the three cross culverts on the road aimed at channelling and reducing pressure on Adeshina Street and Agbebi Street are physically noted to be solid.
Besides, Dr. Apatira implored residents of the community that the road will be delivered later this year. The Chairman urged them to cooperate with the contractor and monitor the progress and quality of the job.
“We must all embrace the spirit of teamwork in order to collectively monitor and ensure that quality job is done by the contractor since the contract fee is from tax payers money.
“The road construction as we can see is of high standard with covered concrete drains on both side and the plan indicating street lights will be erected when completed, he added”.
The council helmsman after the tour of the on-going road construction headed to Agboola/Adewuyi Street to assess the deplorable state of the road; he informed residents that the road has been approved by Itire-Ikate LCDA and affirmed that the contractor will move to site in the coming weeks.
