Akume remains SGF, Presidency Debunks Viral Social Media Replacement Reports

The Federal government has debunked and denied viral report on social media allegedly stating that, the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume has be replaced with Hajia Bala Usman as the new SGF.
In a press statement e-signed and released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga and received by Trek Africa Newspaper stated that, “There has been no change in the status of His Excellency, Senator George Akume, as Secretary to the Government of the Federation.”
According to the statement, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, currently in Saint Lucia, has not made any new appointments.”
“The information circulating about Akume’s replacement is untrue. Agents of mischief fabricated it.”
“The Presidency advises Nigerians to disregard the fake news.”
