Agege Security Summit: LSSTF CEO Ogunsan, Lagos Speaker Obasa, CP Tijani, Chairman Vinod Obasa Lead Stakeholder Push for Safer Community • summit holds Oct 8th

The security and protection of lives and property are set to take centre stage in Agege on Thursday 8th October 2026 as senior government officials, security agencies, community leaders and private-sector stakeholders converge to examine practical approaches to strengthening safety in one of Lagos’ densely populated and commercially active communities, Agege.

The Agege Security Summit will parade worthy sons and daughters of Agege playing instrumental roles in making the event a success. It will bring together key voices, including the Executive Secretary/CEO of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa; Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Fatai Olaiwola Tijani; and ACP Saheed Egbeyemi.
Also expected to speak are former Orile-Agege LCDA Executive Chairman, Hon. J.S. Babatunde; real estate investor, Abdullahi Saheed Mosadoluwa; the Convener of the summit, Abdullahi Anikulapo; and the Chief Host and Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government Area, Hon. Vinod Obasa. The summit is scheduled to be held at the Agege Local Government Hall on Thursday, October 8, 2026, by 10 a.m. prompt.


The Summit is designed as a community-focused platform for stakeholders to discuss security, safety and sustainable development. The summit will seek broader efforts to strengthen grassroots collaboration with emphasis on inter-agency cooperation, intelligence sharing and proactive measures.
Further, the speakers are expected to examine the importance of community participation and sustainable financing in modern security management, crime prevention, intelligence gathering, logistics, public awareness and rapid response.


The organisers noted that the Summit would provide an opportunity for stakeholders to explore practical pathways for building a safer and more sustainably developed Agege through stronger collaboration among government, security agencies, businesses and the community.
