The refinery announced second price reduction for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) within six days.
In a bid to make refined petroleum products more affordable, the Dangote Petrochemical Refinery has announced a second price reduction for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) within six days.
Trek Africa reports that the ex-depot price for petrol has now been slashed to N835 per litre, marking a 3.5% decrease from the previous N865 per litre price implemented last week.
This latest reduction represents a N45 decrease from the N880 per litre price the refinery sold petrol at just a week ago.
The spokesperson for the refinery stated that the new price includes the charges mandated by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
This is the third downward price adjustment made by the Dangote refinery in less than six weeks. The move comes in the wake of a recent decline in global crude oil prices, which have dropped from over $70 per barrel to $64 per barrel.
