AGAIN AND AGAIN, FALEKE NEVER STOPS! 1167 GETS CASH GRANT IN EMPOWERMENT DRIVE!

In his relentless efforts at bringing the dividends of democracy down to the grassroots, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency has yesterday empowered 1167 young people with cash grants to shore up their businesses. The Ikeja constituents who were present at the event could not hide their joys as they regularly burst into songs and beam with smiles throughout the empowerment programme yesterday.
Establishing the basis of the empowerment programme that was covered by Oki Samson of Trek Africa Newspaper, Hon. James Faleke stated: ‘when we started this year, I promised that I will do empowerment round the year. It has never happened before like this. We have not stopped ever since. Medical outreaches have been done in all wards. Millions and millions have gone into it and we won’t stop.’
‘My brothers and sisters in the National Union will also get their cash grants. This is apart from the hundred korope buses that they will get as youths,’ he assured those in the transport sector.

It should be noted that the federal lawmaker empowered many youths with brand new buses popularly called ‘korope Faleke’ on Lagos streets. On many occasions, he ensured that Ikeja youths undergo skills training in various areas and empowered them financially to start up their businesses. Currently, 15 youths are undergoing ICT training while 100 will start theirs this week. They will all get laptops fully paid by Hon. Faleke at the end of their training to kick start their businesses.
Hon. Faleke shared: ‘There is an ongoing ICT training for 15 people. When they round up, they will give them laptop at no cost. Another one will start for 100 people on Tuesday and when they round up too, they will be given laptops. This is ICT for business.’

In his characteristic manner of celebrating his birthday with the Ikeja constituency, the effective and ebullient member of the Green Chamber of the National Assembly spoke ‘I normally celebrate my birthday with my people. This year too, we will celebrate with you in your various homes. We normally share only rice in previous years.’
‘But by the grace of God this year, we will add beans to the rice. A trailer of beans and a trailer of rice will enter Ikeja and it is already packaged and it will go round whoever you are’, he noted.
It will be recalled that Hon. Faleke who lighted up many streets in Ikeja so that the nights will not be used by devious elements. He also engaged the traditional chiefs and security agencies in Ikeja so that criminality can be reduced to the barest minimum. The recent rebuilding of the Ojodu Police station by his joint efforts with the Ojodu community is another testament to his love for the community.
