ADEBULE, FOLAWIYO, AGBEDE, ONAS TO MENTOR YOUTHS ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT TREK AFRICA ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONFERENCE

As part of her effort to encourage wealth distribution and create sustainable jobs among the teeming youths, the 4th edition of Trek Africa Entrepreneurship Conference and Exhibition has been scheduled to hold in Lagos on Wednesday 15th May, 2019.

The SMEs empowerment conference tagged: “From Poverty Capital to Prosperity Capital: Entrepreneurship and Innovation as key drivers of Economic Transformation” will have key operators, policy makers, youths and emerging entrepreneurs gather for the conference. Mr. Tunde Folawiyo, the managing director of Yinka Folawiyo Group as the Chairman of the occasion while, Deputy governor of Lagos state, Dr. Idiat Adebule, Mr. Sijibomi Ogundele, CEO of Suji Moto Group, Dr. Onas Abbey, GMD of ZGM Investment group, Engr. Fidet Okhiria, Mr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, President of Medallion communications and Mr. Yusuf Ahmed Gyallesu, 1st Vice President, National Association of Microfinance Banks as Guest Speakers and panelists.

Tunde Folawiyo an astute industrialist, a successful manager of men and resources, philanthropist and entrepreneur. He is popularly known for his foray in the Nigerian downstream oil and gas sector. He is a recipient of several international awards for his outstanding service to humanity.

The Project Director of Trek Africa Entrepreneurship Conference and Exhibition, Mr. Oki Samson, said the event is aimed at creating sustainable jobs and wealth distribution while highlight the role of entrepreneurs in National economy development.

Nigeria became famed by a recent survey as the poverty capital of the world overtaking the over 1.3 billion population India with the largest number of people living in extreme poverty. The survey conducted by the Brookings Institution reported that 86.9 million Nigerians (nearly 50% of the population) now live below the extreme poverty benchmark of US$1.9 per day. As at February 2019, the World Poverty Clock states that the number has increased to 91.16 million Nigerians.

This is in spite of the tremendous boost that the Nigerian economy has enjoyed having returned to positive growth in the last quarter of 2017 out of economic recession due to increased earnings in the oil industry and the advancement that is taking place in the non-oil sector like agriculture and mining and social investment programmes of the government.

A total of about Eight (800) aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs, policy makers, youths, government agencies and captains of industry are expected to attend this year Trek Africa Entrepreneurship conference and Exhibition which has it focus on creating a better life for the teeming youths of Nigeria who are either seeking employment, aiming to start or upscale their business enterprise while, participants would be presented certificate of participation, several topics will be broached by our conference speakers and in a panel session carefully selected from various sectors of the economy ranging from real estate, ITC, railway, banking, agriculture and public service.

TAEC 2019, will hold on Wednesday 15th May, 2019 at the Presken hotel, ikeja Lagos. Innovators, entrepreneurs, corporate organizations, producers would have the opportunity to market and sale their products and services.
