Three hundred and sixty-five (365) days has elapsed and there has been series of events taken place since then. The covid-19 is no longer news as the pandemic has spread like a wildfire. However, it is apparent that one should appreciate God surviving the last 365 days. Hence the reason for Iba Gani Adams to celebrate his belated birthday today 21st of January, 2021.
Iba Gani Adams has dedicated larger part of his life to develop the nation Nigeria. Nevertheless, he has encountered challenges on his quest to support this development but he demonstrated high level of courage to stand the test of time.
This has led to different prestigious awards and also his current status as the Aare Ona Kankafo of Yoruba Land. “Iba Gani Adams is the leader of a faction of the Oodua Peoples Congress, a nationalist organisation based in Nigeria which supports an autonomous state for the Yoruba people. On October 14, 2017, Iba Gani Adams was declared to be the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland by Oba Adeyemi III, the Alaafin of Oyo” (Wikipedia.org). Since then, he has represented the Yoruba land more than ever before. He has led the Oodua Peoples Congress beyond Nigeria to the world at large.
He uses this opportunity to give thanks to the Almighty God by calling on family, friends and associates to celebrate with him. He not only appreciate his creator but those who have been with him since the inception of his developmental struggles. There was enough merriment along with the thanksgiving party. Different personalities at the occasion also express their appreciation for the invitation to celebrate with the him.
He also thank all who were present at his house to honor his invitation by gracing the event.
