Nigerian Army Opens Online Applications for DSSC 29/2026, Invites Qualified Nigerians

The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of applications for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for commissioned officer positions.
The DSSC programme provides an opportunity for professionals to serve the nation as officers in the Nigerian Army, strengthening capacity across critical technical and specialist corps.
According to the announcement, the exercise is open to both civilians and serving military personnel who meet the stipulated requirements.
Successful applicants will be commissioned into selected corps based on their professional qualifications and the operational needs of the Nigerian Army.

The corps open for the DSSC 29/2026 intake include the Nigerian Army Engineers and the Nigerian Army Signals.
Also listed are the Nigerian Army Medical Corps and the Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, which are vital to the Army’s operational efficiency.
The Nigerian Army Education Corps is equally included, reflecting the importance of training, research, and intellectual development within the service.

Online applications will officially open on 7 January 2026 and will close on 4 February 2026.
