Edo Gubernatorial Election: NAF Commences Airlift Of Voting Materials

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced the airlift of election materials for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to Benin, Edo State, in preparation for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for September 21, 2024.
According to a statement from Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, this operation is part of a broader initiative to ensure the timely and secure delivery of crucial materials needed for a smooth election process.
Ali highlighted that the airlift underscores the collaboration between NAF and INEC, aimed at facilitating logistics and promoting a peaceful election in Edo State. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, had previously assured INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu of the NAF’s commitment to supporting the swift movement of electoral materials.
