NSCDC ANAMBRA BOSS, EDWIN OSUALA PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF RED CROSS (IFRC) • as humanitarian organization begins work in Anambra state

The newly deployed State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command, Mr. Edwin Osuala has assured International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) of command’s full security support and cooperation to humanitarian work across the State.
This was conveyed by Mr. Osuala when he received in audience delegation from International Federation of Red Cross( IFRC) and the Nigerian Red Cross Society led by Mr. Taiwo Moses at the State Command Headquarters Awka, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report. Mr. Osuala who commended the immense contribution of IFRC in rendering unwavering humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable citizens as case may be, said it has impacted meaningful in their lives.

The press release by DSC Okadigbo Edwin added that the Anambra State NSCDC boss informed the IFRC delegation that the NSCDC is always willing to provide operational support. This includes scaling up disaster risk management action and improvement of IFRC operations in attainment of its humanitarian efforts.
Earlier in his address, Engr. Kingsley Okoye said the visit to the command was to ascertain the security risk assessment level of the state to operate which is part of IFRC security operational procedure with a view to summounting them.
In his address, Mr. Taiwo Moses who acknowledged the long existing relationship between the two organizations pledged to continue the partnership. He appreciated the support of NSCDC in the protection of their humanitarian aid workers and promised to partner NSCDC in areas of common interest. He cited instances of commendable recommendation of NSCDC Anambra State Command collaboration from individuals and organizations and urged the Corps never to relent.
The visit ended with discussions focused on partnership prospects on coordination of emergency responses to providing relief assistance to vulnerable citizens.
