MINISTER OF DEFENCE, MAGASHI PAYS SALLAH VISITS TO PRESIDENT BUHARI IN DAURA

The Minister of Defence Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (rted) has joined other frontline political appointees and party bigwigs to pay Sallah homage to President Muhammadu Buhari in his country home, Daura in Katsina State.
While in Daura General Magashi was received in audience by the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, President Buhari.
He felicitated with the President on the successful celebration of this year’s Eid -el -kabir and prayed to Almighty Allah to accept his sacrifice as an Act of Ibadah and grant the prayer for National aspirations for peace and security .
Beyond the usual sallah greetings and offering of prayers as well as exchange of bantars, the relaxed atmosphere and mood might played up undisclosed matters concerning national defence and security.
The one day private visit to the country home of Mr President by the Minister of Defence ended on an inspiring note and strict observance and compliance with the COVID-19 Protocols by the host and the guest.
The second day of the Eid’il Adha of every year is usually characterised by such high profile homage and symbolically strategic visit to the homes of the political authorities and elder statemen in the country.
