The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has continued to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening community-driven security initiatives across Lagos, as the leadership of the Agege Community Security Trust Fund paid a working visit to the Fund’s ES/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan at the new headquarters in Assbifi Road, Central Business District (CBD), Alausa-Secretariat, Ikeja, reinforcing collaboration towards a safer Agege. The courtesy visit of the CEO of Agege Security Trust Fund, Mr. Anikulapo M. Adeyemi and an advisory board member, Mr. Adeniran Samson Israel provided an opportunity to further strengthen institutional engagement between both organisations. This is following the official inauguration of the Agege Security Trust Fund on October 8, 2026, at the Agege Local Government Secretariat.

Receiving the leadership of the community security initiative, the LSSTF ES/CEO, Dr. Ogunsan underscored the importance of sustained partnerships to making the Agege Security Trust Fund deliver on its set objectives. He assured them that with their full commitment to service, they can deliver practical and enduring interventions just as LSSTF is doing in its almost 20 years of establishment.
It would be recalled that at the inauguration, the LSSTF boss, Dr. Ogunsan, demonstrated the Fund’s commitment to the initiative by presenting a brand-new operational patrol vehicle to the Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Vinod Obasa to enhance security response and operational mobility. He also pledged additional protective equipment, including 10 ballistic helmets, 10 bulletproof vests, raincoats and operational boots, for security personnel supporting the initiative.
Dr. Ogunsan had emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in security management, identifying four critical stakeholders including government, residents, security agencies and the private sector as critical partners in building safer communities. He also pledged LSSTF’s continued support in mobilising wider stakeholder participation for the initiative.

The Agege Security Trust Fund, an initiative designed to promote grassroots participation and sustainable funding for security operations in Agege LGA, is positioned to contribute to intelligence gathering, crime prevention and improved security coordination at the grassroots.
