In commemoration of International Women’s Day, Ambassador Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi, convener of Societal Concerns extends heartfelt encouragement to all women, particularly those in Nigeria, who are confronting various trials and challenges.

In a statement issued today, International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8th to honor the achievements and contributions of women worldwide, while also highlighting the ongoing struggle for gender equality. This year’s theme is “Choose to Challenge,” encouraging individuals to challenge gender bias and inequality in all spheres of life.

Ambassador Oluwapelumi reminds women that “Nothing is Permanent, Don’t stress yourself too much. No matter how bad the situation is…it will change.” With these words of wisdom, she aims to uplift and empower women across Nigeria, fostering resilience and hope amidst adversity.
