52 De Registered political parties join PDP in Bayelsa

The gubernatorial candidates of the 52 De-registered parties of the 2019 Governorship Election in Bayelsa and the Former Chairmen of the various parties officially decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fifty-two de registered political parties formally join the People’s Democratic party at a press conference organized by the office of the Special adviser to the Governor on Inter party matters in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.

Speaking on behalf of the Chairmen of the deregistered parties, Chief Henry Igwe, and Tarilaye Dakoru, who spoke on behalf of the chieftains of the parties, pledged their loyalty to the PDP, adding that they will work for the development of the party.

Speaking on behalf of Former Governorship contestants of the deregistered parties, Kunde Noah, and Sotonye Kenny, said they are eager to work with the PDP, as they sought for proper integration into the Party.

Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC and Former Chairman and coordinator of all the other parties for the All Progressive Congress, Hon. James Inengite, expressed his willingness to team up with the Miracle Governor to bring development to the state.

Special Adviser on Inter Party Relations, Hon. Suokiri Jackson, admonished the decampees to work for the PDP with their minds, noting that collectively, a lot would be achieved.

Receiving the defectors, Chairman of the State PDP, Solomon Agwanana, who was represented by his Vice, Chief Wisdom Nathan, welcomed them into the PDP, which he described as always willing to accept those that are ready to come to it.

Governor Douye Diri, who was represented by the Special Adviser on Political Matters Chief Collins Cocodia, assured the defectors that they will be treated as full members of the PDP, and all rights and privileges will be accorded to them.

According to the S.A Political the project Bayelsa must not suffer, and so despite the challenges faced by the government, such as the court cases, Covid 19, and others, the prosperity government is pushing strong and projects are ongoing.

High point of the event was the issuance of the PDP membership card, to the defectors.
