2023 ELECTIONS: POLICE ASSURES NIGERIANS OF NEUTRALITY AND CIVILITY

As the general elections draw near, the Nigeria Police has assured that it will exhibit high level professionalism, civility, and neutrality in the discharge of its electoral duty. It, therefore, called on all interested parties to support it to actualize the lofty goals.
The press statement made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP titled 2023 General Elections by the Force PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi noted: ‘We will ensure that we remain civil, neutral and professional while we enforce all laws for adequate and effective management of election security in Nigeria. In the light of this determination, the IGP is partnering with all interest groups, companies and foreign agencies to actualize our goals.’
‘Recently, the IGP met with some companies to procure non-lethal weapons, water canons,etc for crowd control, and other anti vices operations, as we move into the electioneering process and political activities for 2023 general elections. We urge political parties, candidates, groups and individuals to respect the law, and work towards maintenance of law and order, peaceful coexistence and harmony in Nigeria, before, during and after the elections’, NAOSNP gathered.
