The huge support for the bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for 2023 presidency keeps growing day by day across the length and breadth of Nigeria. While the APC National Leader has personally visited all the who’s who traditional rulers in the South-West, his structure is also not resting on their oars. This is why the political leaders in Surulere zone also lend their voices to the pursuit of the Jagaban Borgu, Senator Bola Tinubu.

Speaking at the flagship program of HAB Foundation which held yesterday at Abibatu Mogaji Hall, Coker-Aguda LCDA, Surulere, Lagos, they asserted that Asiwaju Tinubu is the man for the job. They assured that he would deliver gains for all and sundry when he hopefully emerges President in 2023.

The apex leader of the APC in the entire Surulere zone comprising Surulere LGA, Coker-Aguda LCDA, and Itire-Ikate LCDA, Elder D. O. Adenekan said about Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ‘If you look at the VP today, who did it, Asiwaju. We need the presidency, who can do it, Asiwaju. So I am appealing to everyone that we should take this as our personal project. We must work for it, pray about it and it will succeed.’

Recalling the road to presidency for APC in 2015, a leader in APC Lagos and former Executive Chairman of Iru/Victoria Island LCDA, Hon. Abayomi Daramola said: ‘I know Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not going to the presidency to look for money or fame.’

‘When Muhammadu Buhari was going for the election, the only man that could stand before the British Parliament to speak about why Buhari should be elected was Asiwaju Tinubu.’

‘The man that picked up his phone to speak with the President of the world, President of USA, this was not hearsay, I was there physically on why Buhari should be the president was Asiwaju. So when you talk of fame, he has it. Let us do what is right to do’, Trek Africa Newspaper gathered.

One of the Commissioners in the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Ahmed Seriki affirmed: ‘Asiwaju has done a lot for the development of the nation. He has contributed immensely. We believe he will take Nigeria out of poverty. I have no doubt that Asiwaju will bring development to the people.’

Sharing his personal experience, the Founder of HAB Foundation, Hon. Hakeem Adisa Bamgbola proclaimed: ‘For Asiwaju, the best we can do is to support him. It is pay back time. Without him, I wouldn’t have become a Chairman, it was because of the creation of LCDA that made me become a Chairman. That 2023 dream, I pray will be achieved.’

‘We must work together to support Asiwaju because without him, there will not be anything like Coker-Aguda, Itire-Ikate, there will be nothing like chairmen in LCDA. We have to pray and commit resources to it. By this time 2023, we want Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be our President’, he told Trek Africa Newspaper.

Advising all party faithfuls in Surulere, Lagos youngest LCDA chairman, Hon. Olamilekan Rasaq spoke: ‘I want to say thank you to our Mandate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I have seen what he has done and I don’t have doubt in my heart. I want to tell my party people and the Youths that they should believe in the Asiwaju dream.’

‘2023 is very important. We, Yorubas, must think. We have missed many many chances, we must not miss this one’, he concluded.
