Call it ‘reproducing your success in others’ and you will be right for that is exactly what high-flying broadcaster and media consultant, Foladele Falana-Ngadi is doing with her inventive, inspirational concept in the media space. This is coming on the heels of her departure from one of Nigeria’s best television stations, Television Continental (TVC) two months ago. The career-shaping idea, FD Media Mentorship Series, is helping her to put the spotlight on young, upwardly mobile individuals who have the passion to build thriving careers in media, especially television, even if they have zero knowledge and experience about the vast industry.
In her charge to the first cohort under her tutelage in the intensive, month-long program, Foladele Falana-Ngadi stated: ‘You are the face. You are the voice. You are the point of contact. You are the chief representative. Creating your personal brand and identifying your strengths will be important in helping you stand out as a Presenter.’

The former Senior Producer/Presenter of TVC’s Entertainment Splash continued: ‘Understanding your audience, creativity, and having a keen eye for detail are some of the most important skills you will need to thrive as a TV Presenter. How far you are willing to go to hone these skills will determine how good you will become at both. You have the power.’
‘To be one is great but to be both? That is the winning combo that will give you an edge. In the next four weeks, we will build the foundation you need to thrive in both fields and you will be ready to fly’, the mentor concluded.
It will be recalled that ‘Everyone’s hypewoman’ broke the news of her exit from TVC to her teeming fans during the Entertainment Splash edition of 16th February 2021. Her fans, thereafter, flooded the social media with emotion-laden accolades to her personality and professional dexterity. This is after five years of diligent service attended by a phenomenal rise from the role of an Associate Producer/Presenter to the enviable Senior Producer position in the television station.
It is worthy of note that Foladele holds an MA in Television Journalism from Goldsmiths University of London, UK and is a member of the globally-acclaimed International Federation of Journalists (IFJ). She is a polyglot with proficiency in French, English, and Yoruba.
