Lieutenant Felix Ademe Isaac who lost his life in the battle of Orire, Ogbomosho, Oyo State against the terrorists, he paid the supreme price during the rescue operation of the kidnapped school children and teachers in Orire LG Oyo State.
The Adamawa State born officer reportedly lost his life while leading troops during a fierce confrontation with the criminals, underscoring the dangers faced by security personnel in the fight against violent crime.
Lieutenant F.A. Isaac was killed in the early phase of the operation to rescue 44 pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire LGA. Lt. Isaac, born on August 25, 1997, was buried on July 10, the same day the abducted schoolchildren and teachers were freed after 56 days in captivity Isaac’s remains were laid to rest at the 23rd Armoured Brigade Cemetery in Yola, Adamawa state, with the Oriire rescue operation led by Major General Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife.

The rescue mission, carried out by a joint security team, resulted in the safe recovery of the kidnapped victims after weeks in captivity.
Several suspected kidnappers were arrested, while others were reportedly neutralised during the operation.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde paid tribute to the fallen officer, describing his sacrifice as an act of courage and patriotism in the service of the nation.
Military authorities also acknowledged that the operation came at a heavy cost but reaffirmed their commitment to protecting lives and combating kidnapping.
The death of Lt. Isaac has drawn tributes from Nigerians, with many hailing him as a hero whose ultimate sacrifice helped secure the victims’ freedom.
