The Presiding Bishop of Christ Royal Family International Church, Bishop Tom Samson has declared that the riches he enjoys are freely given to him by God and that he deserved it after more than 30 years of impactful service in God’s Kingdom. The clergyman who is popular for his philanthropy and large heart has also, over the years, ensured that families, schools, and communities have been beneficiaries of God’s faithfulness and goodness in his life.

Celebrating the faithfulness of God in his life and over Christ Royal Family International Church, the church he founded 30 years ago, Bishop Samson made this known during a Press Conference covered by Oki Samson of Trek Africa Newspaper. The 30th Anniversary is set to hold from Sunday 5th- Sunday 12th December, 2021.

Speaking on his affluent lifestyle, Bishop Tom Samson expressed: ‘I use the most expensive cars because I raise people in various sectors. They give it back. Everything I use, I give it. The Bible says ‘Blessed be the Lord who richly gives us all things to enjoy’. If we pray for people to be rich, should I be ugly or poor?’

‘It is a lifestyle for me to dress well because if you dress bad they will not listen. We made impact on campus. Those students feel that when you preach ‘give your life to Christ’ to them, you want to frustrate them, so looking good is not a sin in serving God.

The people that know me then in Abraka will tell you today’, he further shared.
‘You don’t deserve it, if you have not impacted lives. If you are impacting your establishment, enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy it, it is a curse. People will tell you like Judas, go and sell the alabaster box so that we can use it to feed the poor. Do you know how many children are on scholarship? Do you know how many community roads we construct? So if this is the only one I enjoy, let me enjoy it well. Let me eat the fruit of my labour.’

Reminiscing on the faithfulness of God on his life and ministry, the firebrand Bishop said: ‘There is something called ancestral curses in my family, it affected me, poverty and hardship. But the anointing breaks the yoke. I always say ‘there is war’. I took it to Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, London, America, Canada, those who were not saved got saved, those who don’t have jobs got jobs, the prayers I prayed made them stay in faith. What we have done, other people should understudy it because there is greater things ahead.’

‘I gave my life to Christ in 1985 and I saw the need to preach. The Lord told me I will use you. From the university I received the call setting the captives free and teaching them to overcome circumstances. Since 1985, everything I have touched has prospered. There is no one month in this ministry that we don’t celebrate a new thing. This is our 30th anniversary. We are building cities in Lekki, Agbara, we would be very delighted that come 11th December, you will visit our Royal City’.

On the 30th anniversary programme tagged ‘Behold I will do a New Thing’, Rev. Samson announced: ‘We are starting the programme in Lagos Airport Hotel on 5th December by 3pm. Then, Monday and Tuesday, we will be here at Royal Tower in Ikeja. Then Wednesday to Sunday, we move to Royal City, Iyesi Ota. There is free accommodation, free transportation and feeding for everyone that comes to the camp. That’s being our lifestyle since 25 years ago that we opened the camp.’

The celebration will witness the ministration of men and women of God including Apostle Lanre Samson, Archbishop Joseph Ojo, Bishop Stephen Ogendengbe, Bishop Amao Thomas, and Bishop Jide Orire. Others are Bishop Femi Samson, Apostle Tim Gbasha, Apostle Tony Okoh, Apostle Lawrence Achidime, Rev. Adeife, Rev. Abraham, and Pst. Lazarus. ‘The healing power of God will be available. And 11th December, it will be 30 years, we will install transformers in communities, we will do food distribution like we did during the lockdown’, Rev. Samson concluded.
