Permanent Secretary, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency Affirms Commitment To Inter-Agency Collaboration With LASCOPA

The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA), Mr. Abdulrasheed Muri-Okunola, recently received the General Manager, Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) Mr. Afolabi Solebo and his management staff on a courtesy visit, as part of efforts to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and enhance public service delivery in Lagos State.
During the visit, Mr. Muri-Okunola highlighted MVAA’s operational framework and ongoing initiatives, including the replacement of damaged or faded number plates and the ongoing three-month amnesty running from January to March 2026. Discussions also focused on deepening institutional collaboration to improve operational efficiency and deliver greater value to motorists and the public.
Muri-Okunola reiterated its commitment to excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in vehicle registration and administration processes, emphasising that protecting consumer rights is central to the Agency’s mission and aligns with the Lagos State Government’s governance priorities.
In his remarks, the General Manager, LASCOPA commended the MVAA for its structured approach to service delivery, its efforts to promote transparency and consumer confidence, and stressed the importance of sustained inter-agency collaboration in addressing consumer-related concerns.
The courtesy visit further underscored the Lagos State Motor Vehicle Administration Agency’s leadership in efficient vehicular administration, ensuring proper vehicle documentation, and promoting transparency, accountability, and excellence in public service delivery across Lagos State.
