LSSTF Donates 1,000 Operational Boots to RRS Lagos, Reinforces Ongoing Support for Security Operations

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated 1,000 pairs of operational boots to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos, in a significant boost to personnel welfare, mobility, and operational readiness. The presentation took place this afternoon at the LSSTF HQ. in Ikeja, Lagos, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

The donation was made on behalf of the LSSTF Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, by the Fund’s Director of Administration, Mr. Degbola Lewis. He noted that the provision of high-quality operational boots was essential to improving officers’ comfort during long patrol hours, enhancing their mobility, and ensuring better field performance. He reiterated that LSSTF remains committed to supporting security agencies with the resources they need to carry out their duties effectively.

Receiving the boots, Commander, RRS, CSP Shola Jejeloye expressed deep appreciation to LSSTF and noted that the continued support from the Fund has significantly improved the squad’s capacity to deliver on its mandate of maintaining safety and public order.

The latest donation forms part of a sustained effort by the LSSTF to strengthen the logistical backbone of the RRS.

It will be recalled that just three weeks ago, the Fund donated six patrol vehicles to the squad to enhance rapid response capabilities and expand patrol coverage across Lagos. The vehicles have since been deployed to critical areas to support crime prevention and emergency response activities.

In a further show of support, the LSSTF also donated seventy (70) batteries to the RRS two weeks ago, ensuring improved vehicle uptime and operational reliability.
