LASIEC Celebrates Outstanding Staff At 2025 Public Service Awards

The Chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Hon. Justice Bola Okikiolu-Ighile (rtd), has commended two members of staff of the commission, Mr. Adeniyi Jubril Ogunfemi and Mrs. Rufiat Anike Kareem, for their outstanding performance and dedication to duty.
Ogunfemi and Kareem were recognised as LASIEC Outstanding Staff of the Year 2025, having distinguished themselves through exceptional service, professionalism, integrity and commitment to work. Their recognition formed part of the 2025 Outstanding Public Servants Awards presented by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Justice Okikiolu-Ighile praised the award recipients for their invaluable contributions to the success of LASIEC’s activities and mandate, particularly in strengthening electoral administration and enhancing public confidence in the democratic process in Lagos State.
She noted that the recognition aligns with LASIEC’s continuous efforts to promote excellence, accountability and motivation among its workforce, stressing that the exemplary performance of the awardees reflects the commission’s core values of transparency, inclusiveness and effective service delivery.
The LASIEC chairman reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to rewarding hard work and professionalism in the service of democracy, while calling on all staff to sustain high standards of excellence across all departments.
The award ceremony was attended by LASIEC Electoral Commissioners, including Hon. Aileru Abeeb, Chief Akim Durojaiye Oluwo, Dr. Olumide Metilelu, Hon. Oladele Adekanye and Prince Taorid Adewale Ojora, as well as the Permanent Secretary of the commission, Mr. Abdul-Rafiu Omowole Fashola.
