Lagos Body of Seriki Hausawa Meets In Ikorodu Division: Resolve To Partner LASG Govt InFight Against Unlawful Conducts, Practices

The umbrella body of northern traditional chiefs resident in Lagos, otherwise known as the Lagos State Body of Seriki Hausawa, has declared its resolution to join relevant stakeholders and the Lagos State government in the efforts to curtail and end improper practices that endangers the life of citizens and conflicts with the laws of the land.
The traditional chiefs, made the declaration, during their rotational, monthly meeting, which was held in the premises of Alaka Event centre, in the Sabo area of the Ikorodu division, on Friday, 23, May, 2025.
The body unanimously frowned at the improper practice of loading cattle and crowd of persons who hang dangerously onto the trucks conveying animals across the North and South of the country, which they described as highly risky and unacceptable.
The royal symbols also expressed concerns over the rising reports of drug related misdemeanours as well as the untoward activities of scavengers, who are daily becoming popular for criminal tendencies.
Rising from the meeting, the Lagos State Body of Seriki Hausawa, resolved to reconvene sooner than later, to put plans in place toward partnering with relevant stakeholders and agencies of the State, in a determined move to support Lagos state government in ending the three edged menace.
As a tradition of the royal body, the meeting climaxed with a special prayer for the state of Lagos and the nation, held in the Ikorodu central mosque immediately after the Jumaat service led by mallam Halilu Na’ibi.
Amongst Serikis in attendance at the meeting were, Sarki of Ikorodu, Alhaji Shittu Idris and Sarki of Imota, Ibrahim Haruna both of Ikorodu division, Sarki Overall of Alimosho, Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja and Sarki of Orile-Agege, Aminu Jubirila Abdallah, both of the Ikeja division, Sarki of Igbologun snake island, Hussaini Dayyabu and Sarki of satellite town, Mukaila Salihu, both of the Badagry division, Sarki of Epe, Haruna Sule and Sarki of Mojoda, Eredo LCDA, Suleman Haruna, both of the Epe division and Sarki of Ibeju-Lekki, Musa Abubakar, who represented the Lagos Island division to mention but a few.
