The Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Friday 30 January, 2026, held its 2025 End-of-Year Celebration, recognising officers and units that delivered exceptional service throughout the year, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

In his welcome address, Sector Commander Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat said the annual ceremony offered a moment to reflect on the year’s challenges, successes, and operational improvements. He noted that despite the demanding nature of road safety management in Lagos, the Command recorded significant progress through professionalism, resilience, and teamwork.

CC Hamzat praised officers and marshals for their discipline and unwavering commitment to duty. Their efforts, he said, not only strengthened the corps’ reputation but also boosted public confidence in FRSC’s operations across Lagos State.

He described the event as both a celebration of the outgoing year and an acknowledgement of the outstanding personnel and partners who contributed to the command’s achievements.

In his goodwill message, retired Deputy Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem commended the Lagos Sector for its professionalism and collective commitment to saving lives. He urged personnel to sustain high standards of integrity, improve operational systems, and uphold a culture of responsibility as they enter a new year of service.

Awards were presented across several categories. Apapa Command Unit emerged as the Overall Best Command, with Ojota and Ibeju units taking first and second runner-up positions respectively. Apapa also clinched the Best Command in Enforcement, followed by Ojo and Iba Command units.

Individual recognitions included: Best Officer in Integrity Booking won by DRC S. S. Erinosho; Best Marshal in Operations won by R. O. Oguntolu; and Best Logistics Officer won by CRC Omotola Jayeola Abogunloko (Unit Commander, Airport Command).

Others are Best Officer in Operations won by ARC Balogun (Ojota Unit Command); Best Utility Staff (Marshal Cadre) won by AT Ogundele, and
Best Utility Staff (Officer Cadre) won by ARC Maleeq Asiwaju.
