Kano Police Command Hands Over Recovered Toyota Sienna Vehicle To Rightful Owner

The Kano State Police Command is pleased to announce the handover of a recovered Toyota Sienna motor vehicle, maroon in color, with registration number RBC-801HM, to its rightful owner, Mr. Ali Alti. The vehicle, valued at twenty million naira (N20,000,000), was stolen by a security watchman from Maiduguri GRA, Borno State, on January 5, 2026.
Following the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD NPM, on strategic intelligence-led visibility patrols, the motor vehicle was recovered at Hotoro Arewa Quarters by Police Officers attached to Hotoro Police Division Kano on January 7, 2026. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, directed that the vehicle be handed over to Mr. Ali Alti, after verifying his proof of ownership.
Four suspects are currently under investigation in connection with the theft in Maiduguri. The Commissioner of Police further calls on members of the public to always be cautious of the people they hire for domestic services.
The Kano State Police Command commends the efforts of its officers and appreciates the public’s support in combating crime in the state.
