IShowSpeed marks 21st birthday in Nigeria as YouTube subscribers hit 50m

IShowSpeed, the popular American streamer, has arrived in Nigeria as part of his ongoing livestream tour in Africa, making the country his 15th stop on the continent.
The YouTuber landed in Lagos on Wednesday and immediately went live, giving fans a glimpse into his Nigerian experience ahead of his 21st birthday celebration.
The online streamer, born Darren Jason Watkins Jr, is in Nigeria as part of ‘Speed Does Africa’, a 28-day livestream tour which kicked off on December 29, 2025.
The project will see him visit 20 African countries, spotlighting the continent’s culture, people and landscapes for his global audience.
