DEPUTY SENATE PRESIDENT, SEN. BARAU I. JIBRIN HANDS OVER MOTORCYCLES TO KANO POLICE TO BOOST SECURITY OPERATIONS

Today, 23rd November 2024, His Excellency, the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Representing Kano-North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator DR. Barau I. Jibrin, CFR handed over one thousand (1000) Motorcycles to Kano State Police Command to boost security operations. The Distinguished Senator commended Police efforts in maintaining peace and calls for continued efforts in making Kano State safe. The launching of the motorcycles took place at the premises of Bompai Police Headquarters, Kano State Police Command.
Parts of the speech of His Excellency reads “We are here to launch one thousand (1000) motorcycles to boost the security operations of Kano State Police Command. I must commend the CP, “Dogon Aiki” for the good work he is doing in Kano together with his team. We will continue to support the Police because they risked their lives for us to stay in peace.
We will continue to give them all the necessary support and assistance to ensure maintenance of law and order in the State. DIG Ali A. Muhammad, FCIA, psc(+), PhD, the outgoing Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 1 Kano, appreciated the effort of the Distinguished Senator for the gesture extended to the Police in Kano. He commended the security contributions of the Distinguished Senator and calls on Police Officers serving in Kano State to reciprocate by ensuring effective service delivery to the good people of the State.

It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I stand before you today on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM* to commemorate the significant occasion of the launch of motorcycles for our esteemed Command, facilitated by the Deputy Senate President, Distinguished Senator Barau I. Jibril, CFR. This unwavering support and generosity underscores the critical importance of collaborative efforts between law enforcement agencies and government leadership in advancing our collective mission of serving and safeguarding the people of Kano State.

The provision of these motorcycles symbolizes more than just a mode of transportation; it represents a tangible investment in the capabilities and morale of our dedicated police officers, enhancing their operational efficiency and response readiness.
