The #End Hunger protests taking place across the country beginning from today August 1st to 10th of August according to the organisers witnessed peaceful and orderly conduct by the demonstrators in Lagos State.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement issued on Thursday said that the Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, visited some areas designated by court for the protest and confirmed that “area is calm”.

The police spokesperson in the statement said, “Area is calm. The Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade, has visited the protest ground at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Ojota, Lagos and met the protesters being peaceful.
“He equally checked Alausa, Lekki toll gate and other parts of the state and found them peaceful too. Non-protesting Lagosians have also been going about their lawful duties without harassment or intimidation.
“Monitoring is ongoing. Your safety and security remain our priority. Area is indeed calm!”

Meanwhile, some of the protesters at Ojota Freedom Park with various placards displaying #EndHunger #EndBadGovernment #WeAreHungry etc shortly after the demonstration thanked and commended the Lagos Police Command and other security agencies in the state for the cooperation and professional conduct they displayed led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade.
