NSCDC CG’S SIS UNCOVERS ILLEGAL DIESEL DUMPSITE IN CENTRAL ABUJA • DC Dandaura thanks CG Audi for initiating, empowering Special Intelligence Squad

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Commandant-General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’s SIS) has uncovered an illegal oil dump in the heart of the Abuja FCT. Acting on credible intelligence, the Squad swooped in on Church Gate, by Central Area, Garki, Abuja at about 1155hrs on 1st December 2022 and there discovered the illegal oil dump. They promptly confiscated and sealed up the premises where over 90,000 litres of adulterated, illegally refined AGO (popularly known as diesel) was stocked. National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NSOSNP also gathered that they arrested three suspects.
In a brief chat with NAOSNP on the crime-busting move, DC Apollos S. Dandaura, Head of the CG’s SIS, said: ‘We also recovered some exhibits. They include 8Nos. 10 tyres short pedler Empty Trucks waiting to load at the dump; 12Nos. surface tanks, 1 with 45,000 Litre AGO, 1 with 2500 litres, 1 with 4000 litres, 1 with 2000 litres and 1 with 15000 litres; 2Nos. pumping machines attached to 2Nos. counting machines with hose; 7Nos. Empty drums; 13Nos Drums with 250 litres each of AGO; 4Nos. calibrated rubbers, 1 with 600 litres and another with 200 litres of AGO; and 12Nos empty kegs.’

Dandaura also listed the names of the three suspects arrested namely ‘Ikenna Ndionwu,42 yrs, Igbo, Idaeto South LGA ,Imo state who is the manager of the dump; Martins Okoli, 38 yrs, Igbo Oruomba North LGA, Anambra state who is the Dump driver, and Nasiru Dahiru, 32 yrs , Hausa, Shira LGA, Bauchi state who is also a dump driver.’
‘The said Suspect were arrested on the act while working at the above said illegal petroleum product dump site’, he revealed to NAOSNP.
Praising the Commandant-General of NSCDC, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi for initiating the Squad and also empowering the Squad for success, Dandaura added: ‘The illegal dumpsite and all the recovered exhibits mentioned above, though still at the crime scene were all handed over to the State Commandant, NSCDC, FCT Command, for further investigation, parading and prosecution.’
