Reactions As Lagos PPRO, SP Hundeyin Urges Nigerians To Give Kudos To The Force For Its Sincerity

Reactions have begun trailing a recent statement made by the Lagos State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ben Hundeyin regarding how Nigerians have underappreciated the ongoing efforts to rid the Force of bad eggs.
For those who are not aware, a few hours ago, SP Hundeyin, who is the spokesman for the Lagos State Command, took to his Twitter handle to lament that Nigerians have refused to give kudos to the Police for being the only government organization in the country that has gone as far as carrying out a self-cleansing operation within its rank and file. He went on to insist that no other organization in the country publicly names and shames errant officers the way the Police do.
“When will anyone give kudos to the Nigeria Police for being about the only organization in the country doing self-cleansing and publicizing same? No other does name-and-shame. Kindly commend our empirical sincerity and please, do not mistake this for self-adulation. We forge ahead!” he wrote.
As expected, SP Hundeyin’s remarks have sparked a mixture of reactions from Nigerians on social media. While some persons chose to agree with the Police spokesman, others, however, criticized him.
