Former Dep. Gov. Adebule clinches Lagos West Senatorial seat

Idiat Adebule, the former Gov., has won the Lagos West Senatorial Primary election to run Senatorial seat in the 2023 general election.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Adebule defeated former Sen. Musiliu Obamikoro with 424 votes as against 119 and third Aspirant Mr Kayode Oeifa polled four votes.

Mr Emeka Okafor, the APC Electoral Returning Officer who announced the result said Adebule scored 424 votes to emerge winner of the Lagos West APC Senatorial candidate in 2023 general election.

According to him, he said Adebule polled 424 votes, Obamikoro got 119 votes and Opeifa four votes.

“We have 557 total vote cast, with 10 invalid votes.

I hereby declare Dr Idiat Adebule the winner of APC Lagos West Senatorial Primary election,” he said.

Adebule in her acceptance speech thanked the party leaders and delegates for their support towards her victory.

The former Deputy governor urged the electorates to give their full support during the general election in 2023.

According to her, she assured the constituents proper and good representation at the national Assembly.

Obanikoro however walked out from the election venue before the end of the counting exercise and declined from the journalists.
