It is a 24/7 job. Even while you are at home, you are still on duty. It is a job that I will encourage youths to take to because it gives you the spirit to serve selflessly to make sure that the society is safe and secure.’
On the subject of remuneration, he shared: ‘Policing is more than the salary. It is service to humanity. If you join the police because of money, you won’t find it funny. It is about service. Nigerians are naturally kind but make sure your job is done professionally, serve selflessly.’
The event provided a great opportunity for officers of the Nigeria Police to rub minds with officers of sister agencies and members of the general public on the ways to enhance safety and security in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.
