Just In: Lagos APC Disassociates Party From Nomination Form Distribution

The All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos chapter has distanced its office from clearing and releasing normination forms to any council chairmanship aspirant contrary to news in public domain that selected numbers of incumbent chairmen were been invited to pick normination forms from Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) on Monday evening.
APC urged that party faithfuls and Lagosians should disregard such information, claiming that nothing of such event had taken place and that Lagosian should trust the party’s system in matter of conducting primary elections and managing situation.
It’s disclosed that the party has not cleared both incumbent and new aspirants that participated during weekend council primary elections across 20 Local Givernment Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos and that LASIEC cannot attend to any member of APC except there is clearance from the state chapter of party.
APC cleared the air through its spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, who spoke exclusively to The Guild on Tuesday, said that the state chapter of APC had been alerted of news making the rounds that some numbers of aspirants were been invited by the party executives to pick normination forms as cleared candidates that would represent Lagos chapter of APC at forthcoming council chairmanship and councillorship elections slated for July, saying but we want to appeal to party faithfuls and Lagosians to please disregard such information.
Oladejo, who assured that the party would make the entire exercise public, appealed to APC members across the state to remain calm that APC leadership of Lagos chapter was on top of the matter.
