It was disastrous and a dark Wednesday on the 21st October, 2020 as Armed Thugs who disguised as Peaceful Protesters burnt down Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat, Igando-Oloja.
It was gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred at early hours of the day till evening; making sure that no single office or building is safe from this barbaric act.
Vehicles parked at the premises were set ablaze, valuable properties were also destroyed and set ablaze.
The Armed Thugs bursted into different offices of the Council. They carted away office equipments, documents, Computer sets, other Information Communication Technology (I.C.T.) gadgets and other lots of valuable equipments worth millions of Naira.
It was also gathered that they burgled into the Fidelity Bank in the premises and carted away cash and other valuable materials from the bank.
The nearby residents who tried to video the scene and take pictures were beaten and their phones were also broken.
The perpetrators of this heinous crime were said to have operated freely without any hindrances from any Security agents.
