TRANS-AFRICAN YOUTH INITIATIVE HONOURS AIG AHMED ILIYASU

Trans-African Youth Initiative (TAYI)
delegates led by Ambassador Bakare Luqman, CFO, CNO, CCSCRN, GCYPC, (COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE) today 25th September, 2020 awards Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone 2 Command, Onikan Lagos, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, psc+ as “AFRICAN PATRIOTIC LEADER”.
The team, led by Ambassador Bakare Lukman (Country Representative) in company of Hon. Helen Avidime (Accra), Ambassador Victor Collins (Kumasi) and Ambassador Alaya Abdulrahman (Kwara) were ushered into the office of the AIG where introduction of the Zonal management team and presentation of the award took place.
The Country Rep. in his speech before presentation of the award said: “the award recipient has earned himself this most revered award, as AFRICAN PATRIOTIC LEADER which was unanimously agreed at the national meeting held at the University of Ghana, Legon Indeed, the recipient has won the heart of Nigerian youths by his conduct and credentials as a distinguished leader, dogged administrator, bastion of hope and a state man per excellence” while the *AIG* in his response stated that: *THE ALMIGHTY FORMULAR IN SOLVING ALL SECURITY CHALLENGES IN NIGERIA IS NATIONAL COMMUNITY POLICING STRATEGY OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, PURSUED BY THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE IGP MOHAMMED ABUBAKAR ADAMU NPM, mni BY BUILDING COMMUNITY COOPERATION AND IMPROVING PUBLIC AFFECTION AND PERCEPTION OF THE POLICE IN NIGERIA. ALL STAKEHOLDERS WOULD BE INVOLVED IN IMPLEMENTING COMMUNITY POLICING IN NIGERIA”
The award was presented to the AIG in his office while the event was drawn to a close amidst group photographs.
