CP Rashid Decorates 458 Newly Promoted Corporals, Charges Them On Professionalism, Service Delivery

The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Rashid B. Afegbua, psc, mnips, on Tuesday, 2nd June 2026, decorated 458 newly promoted Corporals who were recently elevated from the rank of Constable to Corporal at the Command Headquarters, Calabar.
The promotion exercise is part of the welfare and motivation initiatives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, aimed at rewarding diligence, dedication, and outstanding service among personnel of the Force.

While decorating the officers, the Commissioner of Police congratulated the promotees and charged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, integrity, and commitment to duty. He emphasized that promotion comes with greater responsibility and urged them to remain dedicated to effective service delivery and the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
Speaking on behalf of the promotees, one of the newly promoted Corporals expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, the Police Management Team, and the Commissioner of Police for the promotion, assuring them of their continued loyalty and dedication to duty.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Command Management Team and other senior officers.
