Jibrin Barau, Yahaya Bello, Katsina speaker win APC senatorial tickets

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Yahaya Bello, former governor of Kogi, and Nasir Daura, speaker of the Katsina state house of assembly, have won the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primaries in their respective states.
Barau won the APC primary for Kano north senatorial district ahead of the 2027 general election, following an affirmation exercise held at the party headquarters in Bichi LGA.
