The Remi Tinubu Support Organisation (RETSO) Southwest and Lagos State Chapter on Wednesday endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election and Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Lagos State Deputy Governor for governor of the state in 2027.
The group announced the endorsements
at the inauguration of RETSO Ambassadors and the new Lagos state leadership in Ikeja.
RETSO Director General, Yusi Buba said they are ready to mobilise over three million people for re-election of Tinubu and Hamzat in the 2027 presidential and gubernatorial elections.

He charged the state executives and ambassadors to be committed and focused on grassroots mobilisation across Lagos to ensure success of the 2027 re-election of the President and election of Hamzat as governor of Lagos state.
He noted that RETSO is all about amplifying the initiatives of the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, which included women’s empowerment, education, and support for vulnerable groups.
Speaking, Mr Adegoke Iyiade, Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the group, said the organisation is mobilising its full grassroots structure to secure victory for President Tinubu and Hamzat.
Iyiade described both leaders as architects of progressive governance and people-first leadership.
“We state it with clarity and resolve that RETSO southwest and the Lagos state chapter formally and enthusiastically endorse President Tinubu for re-election in 2027.”
He commended Tinubu’s economic reforms, including fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange restructuring and massive infrastructure development, noting that the President governs for posterity, not applause.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is underway, and great work needs time to finish. The Southwest is his home base. We will not waver. Lagos will lead, and RETSO will deliver,” he added.
On the Lagos governorship, Iyiade said RETSO is backing Hamzat with equal conviction, describing him as an engineer, technocrat and deputy governor of integrity.
He said: “Hamzat has served with dedication. He knows Lagos, delivers results, and genuinely loves our people. He is the right leader for this moment.”
According to him, RETSO, will deploy its ambassador network and grassroots strength to ensure Hamzat’s emergence in 2027.
Iyiade charged the newly inaugurated ambassadors to act as soldiers of progress and missionaries of Renewed Hope in their communities, stressing that 2027 would be won at the grassroots.
“2027 will be won by the woman talking to her neighbours, by the youth engaging his peers, and elders guiding their communities . That is RETSO’s work. That is our mandate,” he said.
Iyiade noted that RETSO existed to promote the legacy of Oluremi Tinubu, whom he described as the heartbeat of the organisation.
“Her tireless work for women, youth, and vulnerable communities sets the standard for what leadership should be.
“She doesn’t just occupy space in our national life. She fills it with compassion, vision, and results,” Iyiade stated.
He added that the inauguration marked a turning point for the organisation in Lagos, which he called Nigeria’s economic engine and the flagship state of our party.
He urged the ambassadors to mobilise, enlighten, engage in markets, schools, mosques, churches, and homes.
He also urged the new Lagos state leadership to be disciplined, innovative, united and build structures, deepen roots as well as expand reach as the 2027 general elections demand the absolute best.
Iyiade said RETSO’s collective commitment is to ensure organised and purposeful mobilisation that would deliver victory for Tinubu and Hamzat in 2027.
“Together, we are unstoppable, united and unbeatable. With God, victory in 2027 is certain,” he said.
The Erelu Kuti of Lagos, Abiola Dosumu, advised the group ambassadors to stand as pillars of integrity, ensuring that those they lead are empowered, protected and inspired.
She tasked them on empowering women, emphasising on initiatives that would create economic independence, education and dignity for women across Lagos state.
“Also, you should focus on youth development as they are not just leaders of tomorrow but they are partners in progress and give them platforms to thrive and there is need for unity and inclusion,” she said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the inauguration drew party leaders and supporters, who pledged to deepen RETSO’s reach across all wards in the Southwest ahead of the general elections.
