Towards A Peaceful 2027: Hon. Kasunmu Holds Strategic Consultation with Key Community Security Stakeholders

Yesterday 29th April 2026, the Lagos State House of Assembly Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK), convened a high-level strategic consultation meeting with key community security stakeholders in Ikeja Constituency II, as part of deliberate efforts to sustain peace, strengthen unity, and ensure a stable environment ahead of the 2027 elections.
The meeting, held at the Eko FM Multipurpose Hall, brought together leaders and members of Team Lagos across the Ikeja and Ojodu axes, reflecting a broad-based commitment to safeguarding the constituency and promoting harmonious coexistence.
In his welcome address, Hon. Kasunmu expressed heartfelt appreciation to constituents for their consistent support and trust over the years. The distinguished and highly-focused lawmaker highlighted his impactful strides across critical sectors, including legislation, infrastructure development, education, community engagement, social welfare, empowerment initiatives, medical outreach, party support, and employment facilitation, among others—demonstrating a record defined by diligence, responsiveness, and tangible results.
He appealed for continued support for his 2027 re-election bid, assuring constituents of even greater service delivery, inclusive representation, and accelerated development.
He further emphasized the importance of continuity, noting that retaining a ranking and experienced legislator positions the constituency for increased influence, sustained progress, and stronger representation, rather than starting afresh.
Speaking at the meeting, the Leader of Team Lagos Ikeja, Comrade Olugbenga Bolaji (a.k.a Obama), commended Hon. Kasunmu for organizing such a timely and strategic engagement aimed at fostering peace and unity. He praised the Deputy Majority Leader’s consistent performance both in the House and within the constituency, urging youths and stakeholders to support the ARK continuity agenda for the overall benefit of Ikeja Constituency II.
Similarly, the Leader of Team Lagos Ojodu, Comrade Ismaila Taiwo (a.k.a Elewedu), applauded Hon. Kasunmu for his thoughtful leadership and commitment to stakeholder inclusion. He advocated for the sustenance of such consultative platforms, while encouraging the lawmaker to remain focused and resolute. He also declared firm support for Hon. Kasunmu’s 2027 re-election ambition.
Other speakers, including the Chairman of Computer Village Team, Comrade Matthew (a.k.a Onimama), and the Coordinator of the City Boy Movement in Ojodu, also commended Hon. Kasunmu’s impactful representation and grassroots connection, pledging their continued support.
In a further show of encouragement and solidarity, Hon. Kasunmu extended financial support to both the Ikeja and Ojodu wings of the security stakeholders, reinforcing his dedication to grassroots mobilization and stakeholder engagement.
The meeting was indeed a highly successful and impactful engagement, further strengthening collaboration the stakeholders and their representative as well as reinforcing the collective resolve to maintain peace, unity, and progress in Ikeja Constituency II.
