HEALTH AND SAFETY AWARENESS: MISS SAFETY AFRICA CALLS FOR REGISTRATION

In a statement, signed by the pageant Manager, Mrs Angela Nwangwa states “this unique project is a detour from conventional pageants, because of the messsge of health, safety and environment it carries”. She maintained that integrity and quality assurance of the pageant are hinged on the experience of the organizers in the field of HSE reporting and event management.
“The project initiator, Mr John Thompson is a certified safety reporter of international, whose records in communicating safety with high sense of integrity is notable.”
She stated that “the pageant is about raising general safety awareness campaign in a beautiful way by inculcating safety living standards in our corporate and individual lives for higher productivity, overall economic growth and higher life expectancy.
It is an annual event of continental base with global outlook; with a mission “to entrench the culture of safety and healthy living in our society by raising an embodiment of beauty as a constant reminder to always think, work and play safe in a beautiful environment”.
Mrs Nwangwa, who is also part of the team of Silverbird’s MBGN, confirmed that the response and acceptance recorded within a week of official website launch, is a testimony to the impeccable timing of a health and safety expression of beauty in a period of global health crisis.

She also called on corporate organisations to utilize the opportunity and “join this health and safety campaign for higher productivity in a more secured environment, by sponsoring this unique programme”.
The project has been endorsed by Nigeria’s apex HSE management body, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and reputable media organisation, Celebrity Journal Publishers Association of Nigeria (CJPAN).
